Mumbai: Indian Railways has canceled these trains due to traffic jams. details here

Western Railway (WR) zone of Indian Railways to carry out the work of upgradation of infrastructure at Bandra Terminus Yard at Bandra Terminus Yard on Tuesday, 13th September, Wednesday, 14th September, 2022 by 6 AM in a 30 hour time frame. Will block large traffic. Yard North end. Due to this some trains of Western Railway will remain partially cancelled.

According to a press release of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as follows:

Trains partially canceled / short terminated

1. Train No. 22904 Bhuj – Bandra Terminus AC Superfast Express will be short terminated at Borivali on 13.09.2022 and hence will be partially canceled between Borivali and Bandra Terminus.

2. Train No. 19004 Bhusaval – Bandra Terminus Khandesh Express will be short terminated at Borivali on 14.09.2022 and hence will remain partially canceled between Borivali and Bandra Terminus.

3. Train No. 12936 Surat – Bandra Terminus Superfast Express will be short terminated at Borivali on 14.09.2022 and hence will remain partially canceled between Borivali and Bandra Terminus.

Meanwhile, Western Railway also announced that the work on the sixth line project between Mumbai Central and Borivali under MUTP Phase II is being undertaken by Western Railway. In this regard, the railway land on the east side of Santa Cruz station adjacent to BEST Bus Depot will be temporarily closed for a period of two months till November 11, 2022 for execution of works related to the project.

According to Western Railway, the patch of railway land on the east side of Santacruz station is required for carrying out the infrastructural work in respect of Sixth Line project under MUTP Phase-II. In order to make room for one additional line, the work of construction of boundary wall and drain will be done. Therefore, this piece of railway land currently being used for the movement of public transport will be temporarily closed for a period of two months till November 11, 2022. During this period, commuters can use the alternate road available in BMC area to reach South Foot Over. East side bridge at Santa Cruz station.
