Mumbai University Admission 2022: Over 62,000 registrations within 4 days, how to apply

In form of Mumbai UniversityThe pre-admission registration process for undergraduate courses began on June 9, with more than 62,000 students filing applications so far. The total number of applications received by the university in just 4 days is around 80,000 as a student is allowed to apply in more than one course, reports claim by HT.

The above registration data includes students from various education boards whose class 12 results have been declared. Students can submit online applications only if they have access to their scores. Results of other education boards including Indian School Certificate (ISC) and Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) is yet to be announced. Once they release the scorecard, the number of applications for UG courses in Mumbai University is likely to increase further.

The entrance exam for most of the undergraduate professional courses will be conducted in the last week of June or mid week of August. The entrance test will also be conducted through the State Common Entrance Test (CET).

The admission forms are available to the candidates in both online and offline mode till June 20. The portal where students can submit applications is mum.digitaluniversity.ac. However, a circular shared by Mumbai University on June 8 urged principals of all affiliated colleges to conduct the admission process online so as to avoid large gathering of students on campus.

Last year, 57 colleges had requested Mumbai University to increase the number of seats. After two colleges withdrew, MU decided to increase seats in its 55 colleges, to allow more students to enroll themselves in the new academic year. In addition, the university plans to add 70 more new colleges in the coming years.
