In the last 15 years, the BJP-ruled MCD has given Delhi huge mountains of garbage, alleges Kejriwal

After visiting the Ghazipur landfill in East Delhi managed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said the civic polls will be fought on the cleanliness of Delhi and also accused BJP leaders of corruption.

“The BJP-ruled MCD has given Delhi huge mountains of garbage in the last 15 years. It is not a mountain of garbage, it is a mountain of their corruption,” the AAP chief said.

“In the last 15 years, MCD has spent Rs 2 lakh crore… They (BJP leaders) have taken Rs 2 lakh crore… fought this (municipal body) election (in Delhi) on the cleanliness of Delhi,” he said. Will go,” he said.

Mr Kejriwal said when he was going to the landfill, the BJP was opposing his going there. “They are ashamed to show their work done in the last 15 years,” he said.

He also attacked Home Minister Amit Shah, saying that the latter abuses him, but the Center does not give additional funds for MCD.

The dates for the municipal elections are yet to be announced, but both AAP and BJP have started preparations and believe that it will be held in December.
