Shivamogga police have arrested two persons for hatching a conspiracy to kill a miscreant. Those arrested are 25-year-old Vignesh, a resident of Budh Nagar and Kiran Kumar, 27, a resident of Old Teerthahalli Road in Shivamogga town.
In a press release issued here on Monday, Shivamogga police said that Vinoba Nagar police had recently detained Vignesh as part of investigation into the murder of Anni alias Annanappa. During interrogation, he revealed that he and his friend Kiran had hatched a strategy to kill Anil alias Anbu over an old enmity.
Anil had allegedly killed another miscreant Balu in the past. Since Vignesh and Kiran were Balu’s allies, they wanted to take revenge. The accused had obtained lethal weapons for their act. Based on his statement, Doddapet police have registered a case against him.
