Musk’s ex-girlfriend Grimes says ‘Zuckerberg isn’t qualified to run the Metaverse’

New Delhi: Elon Musk’s former singer-girlfriend Grimes has questioned Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s ability to make his $10 billion Metaverse dream a success, calling him “extremely under-qualified”.

Canadian singer, Claire Boucher, slammed Zuckerberg in a Twitter post, saying if Zuckerberg oversaw the metaverse, “it’s dead”.

“People who care about art and culture are making something else. Plus it’s bad art,” he said. Zuckerberg recently faced severe criticism over his poorly-designed Metaverse avatar.

Grimes stated that “the quality of this image alone speaks to how qualified it is to produce an alternate reality that makes virtually every indie game look better”.

“Aesthetics aside, they have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are not morally capable of wielding something so powerful and they should no longer have that power,” she posted.

Last week, Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of his digital avatar standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.

However, the social media world did not like his original image, and showered memes on him.

“I know the picture I posted earlier this week was very basic – it was taken too early to celebrate the launch. The graphics in Horizon are capable of a lot – even Even on the headset – and Horizon is improving very quickly,” he said.

Recently, Musk and Grimes revealed that they welcomed a second child, a girl named Exa Dark Sider Musk, via surrogacy in December.

The on-again, off-again couple welcomed their first child, X – A-12 (pronounced “X ai archangel” and nicknamed “X”) in May 2020. Vai is the second child to Grimes and the eighth child of Musk. Their first child, son Nevada Alexander, with ex-wife Justin Wilson, died in 2002 at 10 weeks of sudden infant death syndrome (SEEDS).
