Nagaland minister’s punny tweet on sustainability efforts “Bamboo dene ka nahi…”

Nowadays, items made from bamboo are being widely sold and used as they are considered to be eco-friendly. On 21 February, Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland’s minister for higher education and tribal affairs, posted pictures of a series of bamboo bottles on Twitter. In the caption he wrote,Not to give bamboo, but to drink water from bamboo… Known as green gold, bamboo has unlimited potential and its use in making eco-friendly products will do wonders for Mother Nature. Greetings to all entrepreneurs from ne India that is working to harness its true potential.” His witty words instantly caught the interest of netizens. “Bambu dena” can be roughly translated to “threat” in English.
