Narcotics Wing of Delhi Police cracks down on sale of synthetic drugs, arrests seven suppliers

Anti-Narcotics Task Force launched campaign to end drug menace among youth in Delhi. A total of 28 blotting papers of LSD, 12.6 grams of MDMA, 84 grams of curated marijuana and 220 grams of hash were recovered in the operation.

In order to tackle the prevalent drug menace among the youth in Delhi, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) launched a campaign specifically targeting those engaged in drug trafficking. ANTF conducted three operations and arrested seven people and recovered a total of 28 blotting papers of LSD, 12.6 grams of MDMA, 84 grams of curated marijuana and 220 grams of hash.

Acting on confidential information, a person was caught from Delhi’s Wazirabad Road. A total of 84 grams of curated ganja was recovered from him. The accused was an MBA student.

On further investigation, it was revealed that his supplier, BBA Pass-Out, was also arrested from Chhatarpur.

Party-drug smuggler arrested

ANTF officials caught a man from Kirti Nagar in another operation on August 27. A total of 28 blotting papers of LSD and 12.06 grams of MDMA were recovered from him.

It turned out that he had done B.Tech and was an IIM dropout. He revealed that he had procured drugs from a person from Paschim Vihar, who was also caught, and another youth, who was a fashion designer from Gurgaon, was also arrested.

The operation involved the arrest of a 28-year-old party-drug smuggler from Ramesh Nagar in west Delhi. The accused is an IIM dropout who is indulging in supply of party drugs for the last three years.

criminal arrested again

In another operation on 27 August, on the basis of confidential information, two people in a car were caught on the Burari flyover of Delhi.

220 grams of hash was recovered from their possession. Both the arrested men were earlier involved in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case filed on April 3, 2022 in Himachal Pradesh. He was released on 2 May.

The recovered hash, which was identified as Malana cream, is very expensive and is consumed prominently in high-profile societies and also by foreigners. The drug was purchased from Malana village in Himachal’s Kullu district.
