National policy on population control needed, says RSS India News – Times of India

Raipur/New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday reiterated its suggestion of a population control policy to address the demographic challenges facing the country in the next 50 years.
“The Sangh has already passed a resolution keeping an eye on the future of the nation in the next 50 years. This country needs a long term policy for population control. We advocate a national population control policy,” said RSS joint general secretary Manmohan Vaidya said in a press conference.
in your annual Vijaya Dashami Addressing in Nagpur last year, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that a population policy should be made for the next 50 years as demographic imbalance has become a problem for the country.
“Many youths had also shown their interest to join the Sangh through the website. Between 2017 and 2021, over 1.25 lakh requests were received, while in the first eight months of the year, around 90,000 youth expressed their willingness to join the RSS,” Vaidya said.
The RSS functionary said the Sangh is committed to building a “self-reliant India” with an “Indian economic model” that is human-centred, painstaking and environment-friendly.
