The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the film has officially entered the Oscar race in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.

Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ received the Golden Globe for ‘Best Original Song’ category. The song also won a Critics’ Choice Award in the same category. ‘Gali Mein Aaj Chand Nikla’ in Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Zakhm’ (1998), ‘Sur’ (2002) and ‘Jism’ (2003), as well as Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Is Raat Ki Subah Nahi’ (1996) and ‘Saaya’ ‘ (2003) to O Saathiya’ to name a few. ‘RRR’ lyricist Chandrabose expressed his happiness and gratitude as his music piece ‘Naatu Naatu’ received an Oscar nomination in the ‘Best Original Song’ category.

Speaking to ANI, Chandrabose expressed his happiness and said, “I will not let success go to my head. Feels great and proud to see the cast list of RRR in the Oscar list.” Highlighting the exposure that the Telugu industry as well as Indian cinema is getting, Chandrabose said, “Telugu songs and Indian cinema pieces are reaching audiences globally. It was an effort.” Today, I am really on cloud nine. We all are very excited and are eagerly waiting for the Oscars to be held in March. “Getting recognized globally is definitely a big thing. This honor brings a lot of love from across the country and around the world,” he added.
