Navjot Sidhu calls ‘security lapse’ for ‘suspicious person’ at his residence in Patiala

Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu said a suspicious person was seen on the terrace of his Patiala residence on Sunday evening and termed it as a lapse in security. Sidhu said that the suspect, covered with a blanket, went to bed after his domestic help raised an alarm. Sidhu said that he has informed the matter to the Punjab Police Chief.

Sidhu tweeted, “Today at around 7:00 pm an unknown suspicious person wearing a dust colored blanket was found on the terrace of my residence. As soon as my domestic help raised an alarm and called for help, he immediately ran away.

He said, “I have spoken to the DGP (Police Claims) of Punjab Police and also informed the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala. This security lapse will not deter me from raising my voice for Punjab. Later, Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police Varun Sharma went to Sidhu’s residence. A police official said that the footage of the area is being scanned.
