New Delhi: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu Posting a video on Twitter on Wednesday, he said that he will fight for the truth till his last breath. The post comes a day after Sidhu resigned Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chairman.
“I will fight for truth till my last breath. I will not compromise on moral grounds. What I see is compromise with issues, agenda in Punjab. I cannot let the high command hide nor let them hide , Sidhu said in the over 4 minute long video.
The cricketer-turned-politician said that he is not fighting for his personal gain but for a cause. Sidhu said, “My 17 years of political career is for a purpose. My aim in politics is to improve the lives of people in Punjab, bring change and stick to my objectives.”

In the video, Sidhu explains how he will always stick to his principles. “I fought for a long time for issues related to Punjab. There was a system of tainted politicians, officials, now you cannot repeat the same system again. I will stand by my principles,” he said.
Congress leader wrote a letter addressed to the Congress President on Tuesday Sonia Gandhi and said that he resigned from the post of Punjab PCC president as he “can never compromise with the future of Punjab”. He wrote, “The downfall of a man’s character comes from a compromise corner, I can never compromise on the future of Punjab and the agenda of Punjab’s welfare.”

According to sources, Sidhu’s resignation has not been accepted and the top Congress leadership is yet to speak to him. Sources said that the party wants to give time to Sidhu, but if he does not agree, then strict steps can be taken.
Sidhu’s resignation as Punjab party chief has intensified the crisis Punjab Congress And started discussions and deliberations in the party.
Congress leaders are reportedly upset with the bureaucratic system and non-compliance of their orders after the cabinet expansion in Punjab.
