An Indian Navy officer, who was on vacation with his family in Kovalam near Chennai, is feared to have drowned while taking a bath on the beach on Thursday evening. Chengalpattu Police has sought the help of the Navy to trace him.
A police officer at Kelambakkam station said that Lieutenant Commandant in the Indian Navy JR Suresh was carried by a huge wave near the surfing point on Kovalam beach on Thursday evening.
Kelambakkam police have registered a missing case.
