But, he Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), being represented by Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Anil C Singh, claimed that Aryan’s bail was not relevant to the jurisdiction of the present court. the court accepted NCBIt also acknowledged the need for the investigating agency to verify the claims of the CAG and further links in the case.
Speaking about these developments and the court refusing to grant bail to Aryan and other accused in the case, an NCB official said, “It is a big victory for us, especially when some elements were defaming us and Were blaming the department for arresting an innocent. The court found merit in our case. Even if we get bail later in the case, we have proved our point.”
The official said the denial of bail by the judiciary validates the due diligence and process of the NCB. “When the Additional Chief Metropolitan Court rejects any bail, it means that it has seen merit in our case. For this reason, he has rejected the bail of all the accused. It will certainly shut the mouth of those criticizing us.”
The official felt that the speculation of a political agenda and influence on the NCB’s investigation were unwarranted and baseless.
