Neena Gupta’s Healthy Taste Is Making Us Drunk On This Maharashtrian Dish (Recipe Inside)

The tangy and spicy food variety of Maharashtra needs no introduction! From fiery Kolhapuri specialties to the world famous Vada Pav, the state has blessed us with many gastronomic gems that we just can’t get over! One of the favorites from the streets of Mumbai is a scrumptious gravy dish usually enjoyed for lunch or dinner, and is called misal pav. To begin with, this is a gravy dish made from a mixture of beans and topped with chopped onions, coriander, a drizzle of lemon juice and some fried snacks called farsans. Maharashtra, which is also the home of Bollywood, has many notable celebrities and bigwigs to munch on these classic delicacies. The latest case is of famous actress Neena Gupta here. However, the Badhaai Ho fame actor shared much more than pictures of himself eating the dish; Neena uploaded the recipe of making Misal Pav at home. Neena Gupta uses sprouts, boiled chickpeas and classic Indian spices to prepare this dish. She then garnished it with chopped onions, crunchy farsan and enjoyed it with the classic Mumbai Pav. This dish sounds a bit tempting and we can’t wait to try it for ourselves!

Recently, Neena Gupta shared another recipe of healthy tikki. She prepared breakfast with a mix of vegetables like carrots, peas, beans, capsicum and used steamed oatmeal as a binding agent. She then fried it in a little oil and enjoyed it with a simple yogurt and garlic dip. Check it out here:
