NEET 2022: CBI busts racket, arrests 8 ‘solvers’ including mastermind

New Delhi The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested eight people who were allegedly impersonating genuine candidates to help them clear the NEET exam for undergraduate medical courses. NEET UG 2022 The exam was held on Sunday 17th July.

CBI officials said that they have arrested the suspected mastermind of the entire racket in which people were implicated as real candidates as solvers for the NEET UG exam.

The FIR alleged that the CBI stated that they had received information that several persons had hatched a criminal conspiracy to imitate genuine candidates in the NEET examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday at several centers in Delhi and Haryana. .

It was alleged that the impersonators had planned to engage in neet ug examHeld in 2022 for admission to undergraduate medical courses in place of genuine candidates and given the exam in exchange for huge amount of money.

The CBI has alleged that the accused collected the user IDs and passwords of the candidates, who made necessary modifications to obtain the desired examination centre.

“They also use the process of mixing and morphing of photographs to facilitate the use of proxy candidates for appearing in the examination,” the FIR alleged.

The agency has registered an FIR against Sushil Ranjan, Brijmohan Singh, Pappu, Uma Shankar Gupta, Nidhi, Krishna Shankar Yogi, Sunny Ranjan, Raghunandan, Jeep Lal, Hemendra and Bharat Singh.

This year’s NEET UG 2022 exam saw 95% attendance, the National Testing Agency (NTA) informed. This year 18,72,329 candidates (of which 10.64 lakh were women) had registered for the exam, which received the highest number of applications so far.
