Netflix’s upcoming film “The Archies,” directed by Zoya Akhtar, has started unveiling its promotional material ahead of its release in 2023.
Based on the popular Archie Comics franchise, the film stars Mihir Ahuja, Khushi Kapoor, and introduces Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan.

Despite the backlash, “The Archies” is scheduled to release later this year.

Zoya Akhtar’s previous directorial works, such as “Luck By Chance,” “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,” “Gully Boy,” and “Dil Dhadakne Do,” have attained cult classic status.
Netizens have criticized the film’s cast, accusing them of promoting nepotism. Some users expressed concerns that the Netflix film would “ruin your fav comics and childhood memories.” Others questioned the industry’s repeated attempts to launch “nepo kids,” stating that there is no interest in them, reported News9Live.
The Hindi film industry has been under scrutiny since the unfortunate demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. The focus shifted to Karan Johar and his alleged practice of promoting star kids in the industry, triggered by Kangana Ranaut.
