Over-the-top (OTT) services saw a sharp drop in subscriber base after the end of the lockdown and forced work from home, however, it is now on the rise again. To attract consumers irrespective of age, gender, personality and choices, these OTTs are constantly churning out good content across platforms spanning various genres.

Due to the availability of cheap internet, quality and good content on these OTT platforms, the medium consumer base has been growing steadily over the years and the competition is set to get tougher with rising demand and growing competitors. There are three major online platforms in India – Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar.

Disney+ Hotstar Subscription Plan in India
There are four plans available in the Disney+ Hoststar streaming service in India. You can take any one of these according to your budget and requirement. The advantage of Disney+ Hotstar is the availability of shows from Warner Bros and HBO production houses.
Disney+ Hotstar Subscription Mobile Plan: It is specially designed to ensure the needs of the mobile users. As the name suggests, it only works on mobiles. Its cost for 3 months will be around Rs 149. It is not ad free and the maximum video quality is 720p. Also, you can’t watch on TV or laptop.
Disney+ Hotstar subscription plan of Rs 499: This is the upgraded version. Everything is same from the previous pack in the mobile pack. This is an annual plan so it will cost less.
Disney+ Hotstar subscription Rs 899 Super plan: The TV or laptop plan will cost the subscriber around Rs 899 per year. It provides all the content like movies, live sports or laptops. It will give full HD video quality of 1080p. But it is not ad free. User will get Dolby Atmos sound quality.
Disney+ Hotstar subscription plan of Rs 1499: The premium plan is offering maximum benefits across the OTT platform catalog including ad-free movies and shows, video quality of up to 4K.

Netflix Rs 149 plan: The cheapest plan of Netflix is mobile only. This will only allow 1 screen at a time. The pack offers a maximum stream quality of 480p and only plays on smartphones and tablets.
Netflix Basic Rs 199 plan: This allows Netflix on multiple devices such as tablets, smartphones or TVs. However this plan allows only 1 screen at a time with a maximum of 720p video quality. It will cost you Rs 199 per month.
Netflix Standard Rs 499 plan: You can watch content on two screens at once. The maximum resolution available with this pack is 1080p. Users can also download movies and TV shows on 2 supported devices.
Netflix Premium Rs 649 plan: This is a family plan that allows content to be streamed in 4K resolution on up to 4 screens at once. It allows all the content on 6 devices at a time.
Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime Rs 299 plan: This is a monthly subscription plan that offers the usual benefits like free one or two day delivery, access to Amazon Prime Video, Prime Music, and more.
Amazon Prime Rs 599 plan: The three-month Amazon Prime plan is also similar to the Basic plan. Although it is a bit cheaper in comparison. It has all the benefits including prime music, free one or two day delivery etc.
Amazon Prime Lite Rs 999 plan: It’s the same as Amazon Prime’s previous plans with all the same benefits, but not for Amazon Music.
