Netflix has stopped actor Will Smith’s film ‘Fast and Lose’ after slapping comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022 a few days ago. A few weeks before the Oscars ceremony, director David Leach also reportedly pulled away from the project, opting to move to the Ryan Gosling vehicle “Fall Guy” for Universal, and now the streaming giant has decided to walk away from the film. , reported Variety. Even after regretting and apologizing for his actions, Will Smith’s career seems to have stalled.

The Hollywood Reporter recently reported that at least some of the films that were to be signed by him as the lead actor, have been suspended for the time being. Some reports received by the outlet have also revealed that another streaming giant Sony has also put a halt to Smith’s much-awaited project ‘Bad Boys 4’.

Coming to his Sony projects, it was recently reported that Smith had received 40 pages of scripts for the ‘Bad Boys’ sequel. According to reports obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, he has other Sony-related films as a producer or actor that may be on hold.

These projects include sequels to ‘Hancock’ and ‘The Karate Kid’. Fans are also awaiting the release of Smith’s upcoming Apple project ‘Imensions’, whose release date is yet to be revealed.

As for the unversed, the conflict occurred after The Rock, who was presenting the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature, also contained some jokes about the shaved head of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. He compared the 50-year-old actor’s appearance to Demi Moore’s look in ‘GI Jane’. Jada, who recently opened up about living with alopecia areata, rolling her eyes from her seat, was clearly upset.

A few seconds later, Smith walked onto the stage and approached The Rock, hitting him in front of the audience. The 53-year-old actor also shouted to the shocked Rock, “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth.”

When Smith won the Best Actor award later in the ceremony, he apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees but did not mention The Rock by name. In his tearful speech, he spoke of acting out of love and security, saying, “Love drives you crazy.”
