New cases rise in the city, 30 test positive; 148 active patients Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: Vadodara city and district reported 30 new COVID-19 cases out of 1,970 tests conducted in the 24 hours ended Thursday evening. There was a slight increase in the number of active patients due to the new cases.
The new cases include 26 from the city and four from outside the city limits. In the city’s cases, 12 are from West Zone, six from South Zone, five from North Zone and three from East Zone.
The areas from where the cases were reported are Savad, Diwalipura, tribeNavdharti, Gajrawadi, Sama, Newyard, Yamuna Mill, VadasariHarni, manjalpur, SubhanpuraAkota, Warasiya, Bhayli, Ektanagar, Kelanpur, Dapka, Karjan and Ranoli.
Against 30 new cases, 22 patients were also discharged. This left 148 active cases, of which nine were hospitalised, including one on oxygen support.
Both the number of active cases and new cases were higher as compared to Wednesday when 18 new cases were reported and the number of active cases stood at 140.
