New Delhi:

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday said that a new expressway link will be built to connect Delhi and Lucknow, which is expected to reduce the travel time between the two cities to three and a half hours.

Shri Gadkari further said that the foundation stone of the proposed new expressway link will be laid in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the next 10-12 days.

“We have planned to connect Delhi and Lucknow.

Shri Gadkari further said during the inauguration of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) on Eastern Peripheral Expressway that it is the beginning of a new era of smart and green highways in India.

“After the completion of the new expressway (link), we will be able to cover the distance between Delhi and Lucknow in three-and-a-half hours,” the Road Transport and Highways Minister claimed.
