At Rs 40.49 lakh, the Audi A4 is currently the most affordable luxury sedan in the segment as far as starting price is concerned, followed by the Volvo S60 (Rs 45.90 lakh). A type of animal XE (Rs 46.64 lakh), and bmw 3 Series (Rs 46.90 lakh). This makes the Mercedes-Benz C-Class the most expensive, priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 61 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
It should be noted that the Audi A4, Volvo S60, and Jaguar XE are only offered with the petrol powertrain. In contrast, the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class are now the only two cars in the segment that continue to be offered with a diesel engine. In addition to this, BMW offers a longer wheelbase version of the 3 Series in India known as the Gran Limousine, priced between Rs 54.50 lakh to Rs 56.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
