#NewInTown: DiGent Cafe Brings European Flavor to Your Taste

After nearly two years of inactivity due to the COVID pandemic, India’s restaurant scene is now buzzing with activity. Established restaurants are opening new outlets, while other eateries are exploring cloud kitchens and delivery-only models. Amidst this new buzz in the industry, a new cafe has grabbed our attention for its food and mission. DiGent Cafe is the latest addition to Delhi’s vibrant Khan Market area. Situated in the heart of the capital city, this is Digent’s second outpost after its first successful outlet in DLF Phase 4, Gurgaon.

At first glance, the Digent exudes a calm and relaxed vibe. The wooden interiors are simple and soothing, filled with natural light and plants. The bookshelves adorn either side of the huge windows and the pungent aroma of the fresh food instantly relaxes us. While European cuisine is a staple of Digent Cafe – a quick skim through their menu will reveal options with which most Indian diners are comfortable. So, whether you go for breakfast or lunch, dinner, or even brunch – rest assured that you will find a wide variety of options.

The founder, Bal Digent, explained that behind each name on the menu was a story from his work and travels abroad. In addition, Digent Cafe uses freshly prepared breads and sauces in its menu, sourcing local ingredients to make the dishes even more exquisite!

We started our meal with the signature Cricrie d’Amauri From the salad section. The mixed lettuce-based salad was complemented with orange segments, pomegranates, crumbled goat cheese and almond flakes. The agrodolce dressing took away the bitterness from the lettuce leaves, and the texture of the salad was very well thought out. After that, we’ve come up with the highly recommended . took a sample of lakenhalle Which was al dente whole wheat spaghetti in tomato sauce with garlic, basil, Parmesan and black olives. The dish was balanced between creamy and tart, and it came with a sour garlic baguette on the side, which was prepared in-house by Digent.

From main, we tried signing mel leuw Which is a platter consisting of grilled cottage cheese, three-bell pepper couscous, fried grilled vegetables and barbecue sauce. Nevertheless, the textures of all the items complemented each other perfectly and the sauce was exceptionally delightful. We fixed everything!

As for desserts, however, we were spoiled for choice. We decided to try the classic splinter Waffles topped with Belgian chocolate, maple syrup, butter and almonds. NS cruizen Or the Baked New York Cheesecake was next on our list, which came with a salted caramel sauce. Both sweets were heavenly and must-try!

As soon as the meal was over, we were given a small amount to contribute to a charity of our choice or to help Digent Cafe’s mission of working for the underprivileged section of the society. Food with a mission!

So, be a part of Digent’s community and work your way up as you savor some delightful European treats.
