Next Auto Expo scheduled for January 2023

After being postponed this year, the Auto Expo is now set to return in 2023. Rajesh Menon, director general of the Society of Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), confirmed that the tentative dates have been announced between January 13 and January 18.

The venue will be the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, while the Auto Components Show will be held concurrently at Pragati Maidan Complex, New Delhi.

In 2021, SIAM postponed the auto show due to the pandemic.

The Auto Expo, thus, will be held every odd year from 2023 and will be in line with the global auto show calendar of the Organization Internationale des Constructors d’Automobiles, or the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA).

The Auto Expo is a significant event, as it has also become the launchpad for many new models.

The expo has launched the second generation Hyundai Creta, the third generation Maruti Suzuki Swift and the second generation Honda Amaze as well as several concepts from brands such as Kia, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and others. The yet-to-be-launched Suzuki Jimny also made its India debut at the last Auto Expo.
