Nick Jonas is gearing up for a special performance at amfAR’s Cannes gala event on May 23, ahead of the conclusion of 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 25.
Nick Jonas missed the prestigious Met Gala 2024 after he was diagnosed with Influenza A. Due to the sickness, the Hollywood sensation was forced to reschedule some Jonas Brothers concerts. Despite the setback, the singer is bouncing back and gearing up for a special performance at amfAR Gala Cannes on May 23 in France, ahead of the conclusion of 77th Cannes International Film Festival on May 25. The event promises to be a special musical night with Cher and will be hosted by Demi Moore.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the gala has already raised $264 million for amfAR’s AIDS research programmes. A star-studded event will be held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, France and the price range to attend the event starts from $25,000 (approximately Rs 20 lakh) and goes until $450,000 (approximately Rs 3 crore).
Talking about Nick’s involvement, amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost said, “We could not be more excited to add the amazing Nick Jonas to our Cannes lineup this year. We are grateful to him for recognizing the importance of amfAR’s work in the fight against AIDS and we know that, together with Demi Moore and Cher, he will make this an unforgettable evening.”

The 30th amfAR’s Cannes gala will also feature performances and a live auction led by Simon de Pury, featuring luxury goods, experiences and art. Carine Roitfeld will curate the fashion show, showcasing designs from top designers around the world. The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to start from May 14 and will go until May 25.
Nick Jonas previously announced that the Jonas Brothers’ concerts, initially scheduled for early May as part of The Tour, have been postponed. The new dates are set for August 21 and 22 in Mexico City, and August 24 and 25 in Monterrey. Interestingly, Nick will also be sharing screen with Paul Rudd in a musical comedy titled Power Ballad.
