NIT Patna BTech graduate mastermind behind BPSC paper leak case, investigation revealed

Anand Gaurav, a graduate from NIT Patna, is the mastermind of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam leak racket. Bihar Police has arrested four people in this case but Gaurav is still absconding. He is an engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Patna, and took the path of wrongdoing after completing his B.Tech.

The police have confiscated their gadgets four people arrested And still looking for the mastermind of prelims paper leak. The BPSC paper leak took place on May 8. The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of the state police is currently probing the case of the 67th BPSC Preliminary Examination to trace the suspects in the leaked case.

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 67th Preliminary Examination Had to postpone due to paper leak. More than 6 lakh candidates had applied for the exam. The commission had to cancel the exam. The new date will be announced later.

According to a leading news daily, the police have arrested four people including Rajesh Kumar, Krishna Mohan Singh, a government school teacher, Nishikant Rai and Sudhir Kumar Singh. They have also seized gadgets like their laptop, phone, bluetooth, pen camera, walkie-talkie, metal detector and cash worth Rs 2.92 lakh.

Rajesh Kumar, working as an assistant in the state agriculture department, revealed during interrogation that Gaurav is the mastermind of the entire scam. Further, speaking on the matter, Kumar told the officials that each candidate was charged between Rs 8 and 10 lakh for providing ‘assistance’.

Meanwhile, Gaurav’s name has not surfaced for the first time in the education scam. Earlier in 2015, he was also involved in the teacher appointment scam in Allahabad. He has also been accused in the Munger district murder case. He goes to the alias Pintu Yadav.

According to the report, when the police team conducted raids to arrest the four accused, they found a well-equipped control room set up by the gang in Patna’s Lohanipur area. The gang is well versed in the technology and uses it to carry out wrong activities. EOU’s ADG Nayyar Hasan Khan told the news portal that they are freezing the bank accounts of the suspects and are also looking for other gang members.
