Nitish Kumar, Kejriwal’s eye on Lok Sabha elections, said – will meet every leader in every state

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was on a visit to meet all opposition leaders to strengthen unity ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

After the meeting, both the leaders addressed the media outside. CM Arvind Kejriwal told reporters, “I will meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Day after tomorrow in Calcutta I will go to every state and meet every leader and seek their support to defeat this bill.”

“Today, in a meeting with Nitish ji, he said that he stands with the people of Delhi, on the issue of the Center bringing an ordinance negating the SC order in favor of Delhi. If the Center brings this ordinance in the form of a bill, it can be defeated in the Rajya Sabha if all non-BJP parties come together. If this happens, it may send a message that the BJP government will be out in 2024″, the Delhi CM said.

The CM was talking about the ordinance issued by the Center on transfer of bureaucrats in Delhi.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar It also condemned the ordinance issued by the Center and said, “How can the powers given to an elected government be taken away? It is against the constitution. We stand with Arvind Kejriwal. We are trying to bring together all the opposition parties in the country.”

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday met his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal at his residence in the national capital and extended “full support” to the AAP government’s tussle with the Center over control of administrative services.

Kumar was accompanied by his deputy and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

The Center on Friday promulgated an ordinance to set up the National Capital Civil Services Authority for transfer and disciplinary action against IAS and DANICS cadre officers.

This comes a week after the Supreme Court handed over control of services, except police, public order and services related to land, to the elected government in Delhi.

Congress is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections
