New Delhi:

Sources said on Thursday that there will be no visitors to the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha during the winter session of Parliament beginning November 29.

The Visitor’s Galleries in both the Houses will remain closed during the ensuing session due to the prevailing COVID situation and the restrictions imposed.

The officials of both the secretariats have written about the unavailability of the galleries for the visitors during the upcoming session.

Sources said that due to the implementation of the Kovid protocol during the session, the MPs will be seated in the gallery for the audience in both the houses.

According to an official circular, the seating arrangements of the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been made in the chamber and gallery in a chaotic manner.

“No visitor shall be allowed to watch the proceedings of the House during the session and no public gallery pass shall be issued during the session,” the circular said.

The winter session of Parliament will continue till December 23.
