Noida / New Delhi: 71 new cases of Kovid were reported in Noida on Saturday, taking the total active cases to 709, while Ghaziabad 70 new cases were registered, of which active cases are now 389. So far this month, 3,607 cases have been reported in the state. Noida’s share in these cases is around 19.65%.
According to official data, with the rise in Covid cases, Delhi’s containment zones increased from 190 on June 17 to 322 on June 24, an increase of nearly 70%. Officials said that most of the cases are coming from family or neighborhood groups. He said that micro-containment zones are being created with one or two houses to prevent the spread of infection.
Delhi has been witnessing a surge in coronavirus cases since June 14, when the cases crossed the 1000-mark. It recorded 1,118 new cases on June 14 with a positivity rate of 6.50% and two fatalities. Since then, the national capital has been recording over 1,000 cases everyday except on Wednesday, when it recorded 928 single-day infections.
