NOIDA: A 26-year-old YouTuber with 1.5 million subscribers has been jailed for performing stunts on a motorcycle on city roads, police officials said here on Thursday.
He said that Nizamul Khan was earlier arrested by the Noida Police in 2020 in connection with the murder of his girlfriend’s brother, who had objected to their relationship.

However, he got bail from the Allahabad High Court last year and started creating content for social media, especially YouTube videos.
Police said Khan hailed from Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district, but lived in Nithari village in Noida’s Sector 30.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said, “Some videos and photographs of a man performing stunts on a motorcycle had surfaced on Wednesday. Police took cognizance and arrested the accused Nizamul Khan.”
“During investigation, it was also learned that he was arrested by the police in a murder case in 2020 but got bail last year. He has been posting videos and pictures (on social media) of him performing stunts on two-wheelers. It was.” said Singh.
While the motorcycle used for the stunt has also been confiscated, other people involved in the filming of the dangerous stunt video are also on the police radar, the official said.
Singh said, “From what can be seen, it is clear that some other people were making these videos. We will soon track them down and take action against them.”
A fresh case has been registered against Khan at Noida Sector 24 police station, local officials said, adding that he was booked under section 151 of CrPC in a preventive action.
“He was produced before a local magistrate, who has remanded him to judicial custody,” the officer said.
In a similar action, three youths were arrested on May 28 after their video on Indian superhero “Shaktimaan” went viral on social media.
Earlier, on May 25, police in Noida arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly creating a nuisance on a city street by performing stunts in his SUV to promote himself on social media.
Officials said the car used in the stunt has been confiscated under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
On the same day, two people were arrested in Greater Noida and their car was confiscated in a similar incident.
Earlier, a 21-year-old man was arrested by the police in Noida after a video of him performing dangerous stunts on two cars went viral on social media.
Mimicking film star Ajay Devgn’s famous stunt, the man was seen balancing himself on top of two moving cars, both of which were confiscated by the police.
Taking such incidents seriously, Commissioner of Police Alok Singh had directed the officials and urged the families of such youths to intervene so that accidents on the roads can be prevented.
“As part of a concerted effort, police officials have started reaching out to the families of such criminals and have offered counseling to prevent such incidents in future,” a police spokesperson said.
“Families are being told that such stunts could result in dangerous consequences and injury to their children,” the spokesperson said.
