The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the lives of millions of people upside down. The pandemic has affected us greatly and although the chances of young people becoming seriously ill or dying from respiratory infections may be very small, it has not made us immune to the harmful consequences of this unprecedented disease.

According to a survey by Ipsos Global, the biggest concern of youth in the last 12 months is the Covid-19 pandemic affecting their mental health. Industrialist Harsh Goenka shared a post that highlighted the top concerns among adults aged 16-64.

In Goenka’s tweet, COVID-19 Unemployment, poverty, corruption and crime surpassed many other major concerns among young adults.

The data said the third biggest concerns were unemployment and jobs. Whereas, financial corruption and crime and violence ranked third and fourth, respectively.

in between, World Health Organization Has said that the epidemic has started decreasing in many parts of the world. The United Nations health agency said in its weekly report on the pandemic late Tuesday that just last week there were more than 16 million new Covid-19 infections and nearly 75,000 deaths worldwide.

The WHO said all other coronavirus variants, including alpha, beta and delta, continue to decline globally as Omicron phases them out. Of the more than 400,000 coronavirus sequences uploaded to the world’s largest virus database last week, more than 98% were omicrons.

The WHO said the BA.2 variant of omicron is “continuously increasing” and its prevalence has increased in South Africa, Denmark, the UK and other countries.
