‘Not in my upbringing’: Pilot’s classy response to Gehlot’s ‘Gadar’ jibe

Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot on Thursday hit back at Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for his “anti-national” remarks and said it was inappropriate for a leader like him to use such language at a time when the Congress party should Must be seen united against. The BJP should work towards strengthening the hand of its senior leader Rahul Gandhi who is on a nationwide ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.

He further said that using words like “nikamma, nakara, gadar et cetera” was not a part of his upbringing. Ashok Gehlot Speaking to news channel NDTV earlier today called him a “traitor” and said the party high command cannot make someone who has betrayed the party the chief minister.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Sachin Pilot said, “The name-calling, mudslinging and accusations that are going on are serving little purpose”.

“I have seen that today’s statements of Ashok Gehlot ji are against me. Someone so experienced, senior, and to whom the party has given so much, it is unbecoming of someone with such experience to use such language, to make such false and baseless allegations,” Pilot said.

He further said, “It doesn’t make any sense when we have to fight the BJP unitedly… Even before, Ashok Gehlot ji has been leveling such allegations against me for a long time.”

Pilot insisted that the Congress party’s priority should be to focus on the Gujarat elections and that Ashok Gehlot is the party’s senior observer for that election. He said that they should work towards strengthening the hand of Rahul Gandhi whose ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ will soon enter Rajasthan.

He said, “It is time for us to work together to defeat the BJP as only the Congress can defeat the BJP. I feel this name-calling, mud-slinging and blame-game will not serve any purpose.” Used to be.”

Sachin Pilot walks with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi during the Madhya Pradesh leg of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.

The exchange between senior Congress party leaders explains the deep infighting within the party in Rajasthan, which has twice in the last four years led to a political crisis of sorts in the state.
