Notice to Aam Aadmi Party for violation of Kovid rules in the promotion of Bhagwant Mann

The Election Commission of India today sent a notice to Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann for violating protocol regarding COVID-19 issued earlier this month. Mr Mann, who is also the party’s Punjab chief and MP from Sangrur, on Sunday launched his campaign to contest the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections from Dhuri assembly seat.

Huge crowds in various villages welcomed him by shouting slogans and showering flowers. The party claimed that they had invited only a few locals but turned out in large numbers as news of their visit spread on social media.
