Restaurant signs play an important role in marketing a restaurant. The sign outside a restaurant is usually the first thing a potential customer sees and decides whether they want to visit the place. Restaurants that have well-designed and attractive signs can attract people’s attention and entice them to come in and try the food. However, a restaurant in Ohio, USA, is using its sign board in a very creative way. Restaurants have hung advertisements outside their businesses for hiring reliable employees.

According to WBNS, a few months ago signs were hung outside Santino’s Pizzeria in Columbus that read, “Now Hiring Non-Stupid People”. However, it wasn’t until last week that someone posted a photo of it on social media, that the restaurant started to garner a lot of attention. Paul Robbins, after seeing the sign, was driving from Hilliard to check out the store. Robbins told WBNS, “I thought it was funny, I didn’t think it was offensive at all, and so, it made me really curious about this pizza place, which made me want to come in and check it out.” Had to decide.”

The store’s manager, Heather Stockton, said the signs were initially intended as a joke because the business experienced issues of no-shows and people not taking their work seriously. Stockton said, “It was all supposed to be a joke. Nothing serious, it was just a fact, we had an applicant, we’d train them and they’d go out.” She further added that she is looking for employees who are “just reliable, on time, just, don’t show up to work like sandals.”
Stockton expressed how she hoped that people who found the sign offensive would still come to try their food. “Instead of judging our signs, why don’t you come judge our pizza? Our pizza is really good,” she said.
