Amidst films like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon in Bollywood, a girl is making her presence felt by consistently giving scintillating performances. She may not be the darling of the tabloids yet, but Nushrat Bharucha can’t be dismissed as impudent now postmortem of love Girl

Recently viewed Issued in public interest As Manokamna, a small-town girl working in a contraceptive company, Nushrat is still based on praise for that performance. “I do films that resonate with me and pick up on subjects that resonate with me. There are directors and producers who are making brave films with me. I am taking it one film at a time and enjoying it.”

She says the “risky roles” happened by chance, but have now become “a choice”. “I was the girl who did postmortem of love When no one else wanted to. I was the girl who said that I am not the heroine but the villain of the piece. ,

But before that, there was Love Sex and Cheating (LSD), an experiment by Dibakar Banerjee which acquired cult status. “When LSD Being built, I didn’t even have a portfolio. Even getting cast was a big deal. When we were promoting the film, Dibakar said, ‘You should not be surprised if the film does not hit the theaters and is released directly on TV.’ There was no concept of OTT then. I was a little disappointed but we know what LSD made over the years. ,

To the discussion of winds of change, Nushrat says that the industry starts giving similar roles to actors. “When people met me with the impression that I knew as much as I gave” postmortem of love, things changed funny storyWhen people started saying they didn’t know I could do it. Very few people have the vision to see an actor beyond an image. Maybe it is more a box-office thing than a capacity aspect,” she says. “I think the film and the character should leave me behind as a person.”

Beyond the costumes, the actor believes that all the characters he plays have an independent streak “they all have fire, confidence and are their own person.”

For Nushrat, who was not trained in acting, getting into the character is the most challenging part. “Every time a character is offered to me, I find my own ways to adapt to it. When girl was written, I did not read the script or watch the original Marathi; I told my director Vishal Furia that horror is such an organic reaction that you cannot fake it.

Over the years, she says she has learned to separate herself from the character she plays. “I didn’t recognize the parts I played postmortem of love And its sequel was even harder to justify on its own. But I knew from the beginning that these films were being made with the eyes of men.”

To play the selfish, materialistic cheeky Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2Nusrat recalls that she had to deliver her voice loud and fast. “He had an agenda on his mind at all times. At the time, I knew that actors shouldn’t judge the characters they play, but didn’t know how to rehearse it. I used to do two of the same scenes. Will try to do the version but eventually Luv sir (director Luv Ranjan) will be kept. Now, I guess if you feel too conflicted, refuse the part or follow the director’s approach.”

Currently, Nushrat is excited about a female lead film, which will be announced soon, apart from a comedy titled selfie that he has finished , and then there is Ram Setu, a period project led by Akshay Kumar. Usually actors like to start their career with such big-star projects, but Nusrat has taken a long detour. “I like the fact that ultimately, I’m bridging both ends of the spectrum.”
