Oil depot hit and fire in Russia’s Belgorod: Governor – Times of India

Moscow: an oil depot Russia‘s Belgorod The area bordering Ukraine is on fire after shelling on Saturday, the governor said, adding that attacks against the region are increasing.
“We are bombing again. One of the shells hit the oil depot in the Belgorod region,” the regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov Told.
He said emergency services were already on the spot and there was no danger of the fire spreading.
Gladkov Posted a picture in which a plume of flames and black smoke can be seen from the top of a building.
state-run news agency TASS Citing a source in the emergency services, said that the burning depot was located in the village of Rajumanoy-71 near the city of Belgorod.
Last week, Russia complained of an increase in artillery and missile attacks in its territory bordering Ukraine.
The Belgorod region has come under fire regularly.
The capital of the region, also known as Belgorod, was rarely much affected.
But a Ukrainian strike on Friday caught fire at a power plant in the city, causing a power outage.
It came a day after a rocket blew up the top floor of an apartment building in the city of Belgorod without causing any injuries.
A munitions depot in the area was also destroyed on Thursday.
Earlier in the week, attacks in Ukraine caused power outages in the city of Shebekino in the same region. A 74-year-old woman was killed and several others were injured in the town.
