Ola Electric, the red-hailing app’s EV arm, has announced to have secured ₹1100 crore in combined sales for the two days when the purchase window of its electric scooter was open. The company started online sales of its electric scooter, which is offered in two variants – S1, and S1 Pro. on September 15, 2021, and kept the purchase window open for 48 hours till September 16, 2021. Preference was given to customers who had already booked Ola scooters when the online reservations were opened by the company in July 2021.

In an official statement released by the company, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Ola Group said, “In a total of 2 days, we have done over ₹1100 crore in sales! This is not only unprecedented in the automotive industry, but it is also one of the highest . Sales in one day (by price) for a single product in Indian e-commerce history! We are truly living in a digital India.”
