Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro to go on sale in India for the first time today

The company’s first electric scooters Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro will be available for sale for the first time today. The electric scooters were launched on 15th August and offer 8.5kW of peak power. They are offered in two battery configurations – 2.98 kWh battery on the vanilla Ola S1 and 3.97 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The deliveries of the Ola electric scooter are said to start in October. Both the electric scooters get a 7-inch touchscreen display.

Newly Launched Electric Scooters by Hailstone — Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro — can be purchased starting today, 15th September, at 8 AM IST. Both these prices are listed without subsidy for electric vehicles in each state.

The blog also mentions that deliveries will begin in October but the exact date is yet to be confirmed.

Notably, customers who have booked their Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro electric scooters can cancel their booking at any time before it is shipped. The electric scooters will be delivered directly to the customer’s home, and they will be informed of the estimated delivery dates within 72 hours of placing the order. Ola has also mentioned that customers can start taking test rides in October

As mentioned, the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro were launched In two configurations – 2.98kWh battery on the vanilla Ola S1 and 3.97kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The former has a claimed range of 121 kmph and a top speed of 90 kmph. On the other hand, the latter is claimed to have a range of 181 km and a top speed of 115 kmph. The vanilla Ola S1 offers two riding modes – Normal and Sports – while the Ola S1 Pro offers Normal, Sports and Hyper riding modes.

They also get a 7-inch touchscreen display with multiple microphones, AI speech recognition algorithm, and run with MoveOS Ola Electric. The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters also get a bunch of safety features which include an anti-theft system, geo-fencing and a flame-retardant battery that is also water and dust resistant.

However, the cheapest e-scooter in the lineup is the vanilla Ola S1 with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 99,999 before subsidy. In comparison, the most expensive e-scooter is Bajaj Chetak with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1,41,400 before subsidy.
