Om Prakash Rajbhar to lead SBSP yet to decide on Presidential election

The SBSP is giving mixed signals about whether its MLAs will go for opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha or NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu.

The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, which has made ally Samajwadi Party predict who it will vote for in the presidential election, will take a decision after meeting SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday, a party leader said. However, SP party leader Udayveer Singh, whose name was taken by the SBSP leader to finalize the meeting, said “no such meeting has been scheduled”.

As the opposition alliance faces hurdles in Uttar Pradesh, the SBSP is sending mixed signals whether its MLAs will vote for opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha or ruling NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu. On Tuesday, an SBSP spokesperson said that the party still remained a part of the SP-led alliance.

SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar had earlier said that he would announce the party’s decision on the presidential election after the meeting on Tuesday. Akhilesh Yadav on the issue and other matters related to the alliance.
