One injured in blast at Delhi’s Rohini court, proceedings adjourned

One person was injured in the blast at Delhi’s Rohini Court on Thursday. Court proceedings have been put on hold.

One person was injured in the blast at Delhi’s Rohini Court on Thursday.

A police personnel sustained minor injuries in the blast at Delhi’s Rohini Court on Thursday morning. He has been taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the court proceedings have been suspended and all doors have been closed, officials said.

As per initial reports, a laptop exploded in the courtroom. However, Delhi Police sources said that prima facie it looks like a small crude bomb blast. Forensic team will investigate the matter and find out.

At present the police is investigating the incident. After the police complete their preliminary investigation, the Rohini Court Bar Association will issue an official statement on the incident.

Fire officials said they received information about the blast at 10.40 am, following which seven fire tenders were sent to the spot.

Special Commissioner of Police Law and Order has reached the spot.
