New Delhi: In a shocking revelation, the former New Zealand Batter Ross Taylor claimed that he was “slapped” by one of the owners of Rajasthan Royals Franchise during the 2011 season of IPL.
The Kiwis said that they were slapped by the owner of the franchise after being dismissed for zero during the match against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in Mohali.
Taylor made the revelation in his new autobiography, Ross Taylor: Black and White.

Taylor, 38, played for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2008 to 2010 and was with RR in 2011. He also represented Delhi Capitals, then called Delhi Daredevils, as well as Pune Warriors India.
“When you bring in that kind of money, you are desperate to prove that you are worth it. And the people who are paying you this kind of money have high expectations – that is professional sport and human nature .
“I paid my dues at RCB: If I was lean, the management would have believed in me because of what I did in the past. When you move to a new team, you don’t get that support. do it.
“You never feel comfortable because you know that if you play two or three games without a score, you’re on the backburner.”
The autobiography made headlines after Taylor claimed to have experienced racism during his 16-year career with the New Zealand team.
Taylor, who is of Samoan heritage, described the racist locker room as a “joke” and casually racist comments from some New Zealand team officials.
