OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus 9R getting Android 12 update: Complete changelog

OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 9R users in select regions are reportedly getting the stable Android 12 update.

OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro users in India are getting firmware versions IN2011_11.C.11, KB2001_11.C.11 and IN2025_11.C.11 respectively.

OnePlus has started rolling out Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 for OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R. The new software update is available in ‘open beta’ form, and the stable version will be released “soon”. The latest iteration of OxygenOS has faced trouble in the past after users reported bugs after the update. These OnePlus smartphones for the new beta version of Android 12 can also be full of bugs, so regular users are advised to wait for the stable version. Currently, OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 8 series is available in India and North America, while users in the EU will be required to complete an “additional verification step”, with more details expected soon. Android 12 for OnePlus 9R is only available in India as per the OnePlus changelog.

According to the official changelog on the OnePlus Community Forum, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro users in India are getting firmware versions IN2011_11.C.11, KB2001_11.C.11 and IN2025_11.C.11 respectively. OnePlus 9R users in the country are getting the firmware version LE2101_11.C.14. In case users are unhappy with Android 12 OxygenOS 12, OnePlus is also offering a roll-back package on its OnePlus Community variants. Users are always advised to back up files before signing up for beta testing projects.
