Online education firm CollegeDekho raises $26.5 million in Series-B funding

New Delhi CollegeDekho, a college admissions and education services platform, on Wednesday said it has raised $26.5 million (about Rs 200 crore) in ongoing Series-B funding led by Winter Capital Partners and ETS Strategic Capital.

Apart from existing investor Man Capital, Rajiv Chaba and others also participated in this funding round. The company last raised $8 million in May 2019.

The firm said the new funds will help it add new verticals such as “ed-fin-tech and student housing” to its existing offerings. In addition it plans to expand internationally, enhance its investments in product and technology, improve its offerings to students and colleges. .

Around 52,000 colleges in India of which about 66 per cent are private educational institutions.We believe that India’s ed-tech industry is poised to reach $10 billion in size in the next 5-10 years as against the current market size of around 2.5 billion.
