oppo: Oppo may launch its first foldable phone in November 2021: Reports – Times of India

Opposition As per a report by GSMArena, it is working on its first foldable phone and it is expected to launch in November 2021. The report reveals some key specs but it is not clear what the name of the device will be. It will be launched in China and there is no information about whether this device will be made available globally. Apart from this device, Oppo is also expected to announce the Reno 7 series of smartphones in China next month. The lineup is said to include Reno 7, Reno 7 Pro and Reno 7 Pro+. These models are likely to be powered by the Dimensity 920, Dimension 1200 and Snapdragon 888 chipsets respectively.

The Oppo foldable phone is expected to sport an inward folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Huawei Mate X2. It is rumored to be equipped with Samsung’s 8-inch LTPO OLED panel that offers a refresh rate of 120W. The device could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
The device is expected to house a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel primary camera at the back. For selfies, it can have a 32-megapixel front camera. For security, it could have a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
It is also rumored to be equipped with a 4500mAh battery, which will support 65W fast charging. It is expected to come pre-installed with ColorOS 12, but it is unclear whether it will feature the latest Android 12 or last year’s Android 11.
