The Indian batsman hit back at a troll with a hilarious response after the user called him out on social media platform X for eating in the stands during India’s game against Australia.

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav elated several fans on the internet with his witty response to a troll on platform X. During India’s opening World Cup game against Australia, a clip of the cricketer went viral after he was spotted relishing a meal while benched.

ICC World Cup: SCHEDULE | RESULTS POINTS TABLE | MOST RUNS | MOST WICKETS

India looked to be in a dire situation as they lost three early wickets at a mere total of 12 runs, while Suryakumar looked to munch on his meal before hilariously pausing when the cameras were on him. This led to a troll calling him out on X for eating in the stands whereas he should be delivering sixes for his side on the pitch. This resulted in a brilliant reply from the cricketer who wrote, “Order mereko nahi Swiggy pe de bhai”, which translates to “Instead of ordering me, order on Swiggy”.

One of the fans was amazed at Suryakumar Yadav’s brilliant marketing skills. He responded with, “This way of marketing is known as Surya marketing”.

A second fan liked the wittiness in the Indian cricketer’s response as he wrote, “Nice marketing.”

Another fan decided to tag the official Swiggy account, asking them to thank the cricketer for promoting them. “@Swiggy he promoted you for free, at least thank him.”

One of the replies read, “Promotion of Swiggy with swag.”

A fifth felt that the epic reply was as good a six on the cricket pitch. “O bhai, scooped him for six”, he wrote.

“@Swiggy please ask Suryakumar Yadav to Smash 4-5 sixes in one over the next match”, replied another fan.

Suryakumar Yadav had a brilliant showing against Ireland in India’s ODI series ahead of the World Cup. At the marquee tournament, however, Suryakumar has warmed the bench in India’s first three games. Despite his absence in the World Cup matches so far India have managed to remain undefeated while bagging three wins in the 50-over competition. The Men in Blue will be looking to strengthen their chances of making the semi-final spot which means that Suryakumar will likely not feature in India’s upcoming game against Bangladesh. The middle-order batter featured against the neighbouring side at the Asia Cup earlier this year. He scored 26 runs off 34 balls in a losing effort. Regardless of the loss, India were able to emerge victorious as they took down Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final.

Coming back to the World Cup, India have already secured wins over the likes of Australia, Pakistan and Afghanistan in their previous games. They will now be looking to repeat the same feat against Bangladesh before taking on New Zealand next.
