Over ₹ 2 crore cash, jewelery stolen from five star hotel in Rajasthan

Unknown people stole jewelery and cost more than cash Police said on Friday that Rs 2 crore was extorted from a room of a five-star hotel here while its occupants were attending a wedding function in the premises.

The incident took place on Thursday at Hotel Clarks Amer, where the daughter of Mumbai-based businessman Rahul Bhatia was married.

Bhatia and his family members were living on the seventh floor and the diamond jewelery was worth Rs. 2 crore more Jawahar Circle SHO Radharaman Gupta said that 95,000 cash was stolen from one of their rooms when they were attending the wedding on the lawn of the hotel.

Gupta has alleged in his complaint that the theft took place with the connivance of the hotel staff, CCTV footage is being examined and the hotel management and staff are being questioned. PTI AG RHL
