Bhubaneswar: Special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OG)-2022 for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) technical and vocational courses began on Saturday in which 28,620 students applied for the three-day examination.
The exam was conducted at 38 centers in 28 cities of Odisha and one each in Kolkata, Ranchi and Patna. MBA and Lateral Entry exam was held on Saturday B.Tech (diploma).
“The first day of the exam went smoothly. Tests were conducted for MBA courses in 1st and 2nd shifts. Around 76.5% of the students who applied for the special OJEE took the exam. Similarly, lateral entry in BTech (Diploma) was conducted in third and fourth shifts with 81.5% attendance,” said an OJEE source. The examinees entered the examination centers wearing masks. The source said that the seating arrangements were made following the Covid-appropriate behaviour.
The rank of the particular OJEE will be used for allotment of seats left vacant after the first round of counselling. The OJEE chairman said, “Candidates, who have appeared in JEE Main (B.Tech) or OJEE (other courses) and have secured ranks, need not appear for the particular OJEE.” SK Chandy,
