Pak drone shot down by BSF in Rajasthan, 6 kg of narcotics seized

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone and seized six kilograms of narcotics near the international border in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar sector on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

BSF achieved success during a joint operation with BSF Rajasthan Rajasthan Police in the general area of ​​Srikaranpur in Sriganganagar sector at the India-Pakistan International Border (IB).

The drone was shot down by BSF personnel in a joint operation soon after it crossed the international border for drug smuggling into Indian territory.

“During the intervening night of February 3-4, 2023, alert BSF personnel deployed along the Indo-Pak International Border in Srikaranpur general area of ​​Sector Sriganganagar shot down a Pak drone in a joint operation with the police, which was on the Indian side of the IB. had entered into the smuggling of narcotics,” the BSF said in a statement.

During the search, the force said, a Pakistani drone and two bags containing six packets of suspected narcotics weighing about 6 kg have been recovered by the BSF personnel.

The BSF’s success came a day after it shot down a Pakistani drone, which crossed the international border and infiltrated Punjab’s Amritsar. The drone was shot down by BSF personnel at around 2.30 am on the intervening night of 2-3 February 2023, which had intruded into the area under the responsibility of Border Outpost Rear Kakkar in Amritsar Sector (Punjab).

That drone was recovered from near the border fence and zero line and a packet of 5 kg heroin was also recovered along with the drone.
