Islamabad: Pakistan Rejected India’s statement on the vandalism of a Hindu temple in the southern port city of Karachi and attacked the country over the suffering of the Muslim community.
Sri Mari Mata temple in “J” area within the limits of Korangi police station in Karachi was vandalized by a group of unidentified people in Karachi on Wednesday, the latest attack against places of worship of the minority community in Pakistan.
Responding to the incident, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi Termed it as yet another act in the “systematic persecution of religious minorities”.
Bagchi said in New Delhi on Thursday, “We have conveyed our protest to the Government of Pakistan and again urged it to ensure the safety, security and well-being of our minority communities. Hence our response to what you have raised.” Will be.”
Responding to the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) said: “In contrast to violence against the Muslim community, which is perpetrated by religious fundamentalists, who enjoy the full protection of India’s state machinery, The Pakistan government seizes the case and action is being taken. Action will be taken against the perpetrators.”
It said, “An FIR has already been registered against the attackers and efforts are on to identify and arrest them. They will not escape justice and the government will deal with them with full force.”
The FO asked India to introspect and ensure protection of fundamental rights, life and places of worship of minorities, especially Muslims, across India.
The FO also stated that the unequivocal condemnation by BJP Decisive and demonstrative action against the top leadership and the Government of India, as well as the BJP officials responsible for making profane remarks recently, will be the first step towards healing the suffering of Muslims in India and the sentiments of Muslims around the world.
