Pak vs England 1st Test: The England cricket team displayed a mouth-watering brand of cricket on Thursday, the first day of the first Test against Pakistan. The English batsmen appeared in full T20 mood and thrashed the Pakistani bowlers for fun. Riding on a four-ton spell on Day 1 of the match, Ben Stokes’ England smashed 506 on Day 1 and broke major records in Test cricket.

The England team won the toss in the morning and decided to bat first. The English opening pair of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett set the stage on fire with a massive 233-run partnership for the first wicket. Both openers scored centuries, followed by centuries from Ollie Pope and Harry Brook, who also scored centuries.

England broke big records in cricket

In order to punish Pakistani bowlers, the English team has broken big records of Test cricket. The England cricket team has now etched its name in the history books as it has become the highest run scorer on the first day of a Test match. England’s 506/4 is 12 runs more than Sri Lanka’s 494 on the first day of the Test match.

Most hundreds in a single day of a test match

England batsmen have also achieved the record for most centuries in a single day of Test cricket. Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook all scored centuries on the flat Rawalpindi pitch. He now holds the record for most tons scored in a single day.

Most runs in the opening session
The English team now also holds the record for most runs in the opening season of Test cricket. He scored 174 runs in the first session of the first day.

Fastest double century in history
The three Lions now hold the record for the fastest double-ton stand in Test cricket. The opening stand between Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett saw them bring up a 200-run partnership in 30.1 overs as they broke Test cricket tradition.

Fastest century by an English opener
Zak Crawley now holds the record for the fastest century by an English batsman in the history of Test cricket in England. He scored a century in 86 balls.

Brook’s third fastest century
The record for scoring the third fastest century in Test cricket for England is now in the name of Harry Brook. Brook scored a century in 80.

Maiden Test hundreds for Duckett and Brooke
England players Ben Duckett and Harry Brook have scored their maiden centuries in Test cricket. Brook has also made his Test debut.
