The Israeli government did not comment on calls from Israeli extremists, Xinhua news agency reported.

The complex of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, known as the Noble Sanctuary and known to Jews as the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City, has long been a focal point of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
